# Email Mailbox Configuration

Enate allows you to configure mailbox integrations so that incoming emails can generate new work items / be attached to existing work items and allow the system / agents to send outgoing emails via Enate. You can access this section, along with other email configurations, from the Email link in the Builder toolbar.

Here you can configure:

* **Email Connectors** – **click** [**here** ](/enate-help/builder/builder-2021.1/email-mailbox-configuration/email-connectors-detail.md)**for more information about email connectors.**
* **Email Routes** – where to route incoming emails, i.e. referencing the email addresses in the Connectors you have created, you can specify which Tickets or Cases should route brand new emails into a certain inbox. **Click** [**here** ](/enate-help/builder/builder-2021.1/email-mailbox-configuration/email-routes.md)**for more information about email routes.**

This approach allows you to set up and maintain how your Tickets and Cases run in conjunction with email servers without having to modify the actual Ticket and Case processes all the time.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.enate.net/enate-help/builder/builder-2021.1/email-mailbox-configuration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
