# Departments

As part of [system-level settings](https://docs.enate.net/enate-help/builder/builder-2021.1/system-wide-settings) you can view, edit and create Departments to identify which department a user works in.

### Adding New Departments <a href="#adding-new-contact-tags" id="adding-new-contact-tags"></a>

To create a new Department, you will need to provide a department name and an optional description.

Click to add a new Department. This will bring up the following popup:
